How can AFT Fluorotec Coatings help your business?

AFT Release Coatings Range

By working with both our material suppliers and customers we have been able to develop a wide range of long life coatings for the bakery industry. The range of coatings includes many standard multi-coat systems and more durable systems tailored for specific difficult ingredient mixes and baking conditions. All our coatings provide opportunities and advantages over silicone glazing whilst eliminating the need for oil or grease.

By building a close relationship with the bakery manager and plant engineers gives the best opportunity for achieving the full benefits and cost savings that can be gained from the use of our release coatings.

We are happy to coat samples that can be tested in the process and monitor the results, ensuring that the correct coating choice and recommendations are made.

Teflon coatings

Many people around the world are familiar with this non-stick substance owing to its widespread use in frying pans and baking trays but its remarkable properties also make it ideal for a wide range of specialised industrial applications. Having invested a considerable amount in the latest equipment on the market we are in a position to supply this and other materials, such as PFA, FEP and PVDF, to firms that require tooling and other equipment to be coated with a material that offers corrosion protection as well as being resistant to high temperatures.

The low coefficients of friction that surfaces coated with Teflon can achieve are one of the reasons that we have regularly supplied it to organisations in the Aeronautical industry for applications such as bearings and fan blades. ETFE coatings can be a better choice when toughness is the main requirement although companies that require industrial coatings capable of withstanding extremely high temperatures and to which even molten plastic will not stick, may find that PTFE is the best option. We are capable of producing a range of precision-machined items such as bearings and seals that utilise this material and are often used in pipeline and shipbuilding projects.

Preparation is key

Having access to the best materials is just one of the reasons that we have been so successful in providing solutions to companies in many different industries over the years. Another factor in our success has been the attention to detail that we bring to bear on each job that we are engaged in and the preparation that ensures our low friction Fluoropolymer coatings provide an anti corrosive, chemical resistant surface for as long as possible, regardless of the type of metal to which they are applied. Typically, shot blasting is used to prepare metallic compounds and ensure maximum adhesion of the material that is being applied.

Our blasting meets the highest standards and utilises media such as chilled iron, steel grit and glass bead. In addition to tackling a variety of new projects we also offer a speedy refurbishment service for organisations that need their food processing equipment back in operation as soon as possible. As with all the jobs which we are contracted to carry out, you can be assured of first class results when employing our team to apply temperature resistant and abrasion resistant materials to produce hardwearing, non stick bakery coatings on ceramic and metal objects.
