Our coatings can be used on carbon steel, aluminium, stainless steel, steel alloys, brass and magnesium as well as non-metallics such as glass, glass and carbon fibre, some rubber and plastics. Some coating material types are more suited to certain substrates than others. Please ask us for technical advice.

Once we have the details of your order, we’ll look at a number of different areas to calculate your quote. These include:

Yes, we can provide a range of colours in certain types of coating. These can make it easier to identify individual product lines in busy bakeries for example.

Yes, we have a grit/shot blast cleaning service to remove your current coating before preparing the surface for effective recoating.

There’s no hard and fast answer to this that covers every coating possibility, but in general it’s usually possible to mask off parts off a substrate so they’re protected when another area is being coated.

Our coatings are mainly applied using either conventional air spray techniques or through the use of electrostatic guns (powder and wet). Other methods include airless spray and fluidized bed processes.

Components approx 1.5m diameter x 2m long can be coated although longer items up to 5m in length can be accommodated depending on other dimensions. Please consult our technical team.

Our recommended polymers for the best chemical resistance are PFA, ECTFE (HALAR) and ETFE (TEFZEL). Some PTFE formulations also offer chemical protection.

Essentially it’s the value assigned to the friction created between two parts. For example, Xylan coatings have a coefficient of friction as low as 0.02

All our food approved coatings comply with FDA regulation CFR 21 and EU regulation 2004/1935/EC. With our polymer material suppliers we can issue confirmation of approval statements for food contact.
